Nice staff and good food
Bed bugs in the master bedroom on the 3rd floor..please dont stay here i recorded it my first night out of suppose to be 4 nights and management did not want to refund me my money..
the hotel is charming, and the staff really nice. The terrace is fantastic to drink a tea during the evening. The breakfast is very good as well, fresh orange juice, tea, crepes...
It's very difficult to find. Because of the patio interior you can hear people coming late or going out early, it's a bit noisy.
Very peacefull and silence place. Good breakfast with different hot breads on patio. Real moroccan atohmosphere, simple and tasteful décor.
Very difficult to find the first day, take the transfer service offered by the Riad, or let yourself be guided by young people who are waiting the new tourist, paying of course! (into the Medina there is no street names!, narrow streets, rambling, with no possibility of orientation points... When arriving ask for his map/scheme handmade to go to Place Jema)
This great Riad to the North East of the Souks, is in a good location. Easy to spend the day shopping in the Marrakech madness and then come back to a tranquil haven. However, this Riad can be a little difficult to find, especially if you are foolish enough to attempt to find it in the dark. You'll be relieved to know that the kind host of the Riad will go out of her way to help you, evevn coming to find you outside the Marrakech museum . The Riad is comfortable and the breakfast is basic but nice. The host will cook dinner for you if you let her know in advance but do be aware that it is more of a residential area, so there are not many restaurants around.
As mentioned above the Riad is a little hard to find, especially at night. But once you walked there a couple of times you'll find it without any problems.
The room was very spacious and the bed comfortable. It was very clean as well. The decoration and atmosphere were very traditional.
The breakfast was poor and it was the same all days.
The room, decor, meals and staff were wonderful
The hotel was very difficult to find - they should have a marker with an arrow to the correct small side road (alley) in the road mentioned in the address (which we were able to find - eventually!)
Walking in off the street I was not expecting what I encountered here. Riad Dar Nael was very clean and beautiful with an excellent view from the terrace. I stayed at another Riad another night and the terrace at the other did not compare either in comfort or in scenery.
I did not like the fact that guests do not have a key to the outside door from the street. It was only a small inconvenience but I had to ring the doorbell every time I returned to the Riad.
nice location(only 5 min to usseff, 8 min to museum), nice staff(good english) , simple but warm breakfast.
there are no door between the room and bathroom. only low wall. but i think that is the traditional style.
On our last day at the riad major works started e.g. digging up the courtyard, the staff explained we were the last guests as the place was closing for 2 months for a complete overhaul. It should be a really nice place to stay when the works done, especially if they don't put up their prices. The staff struggle with english but this is the case all over marrakesh, french is spoken far more but we could usually get our point across. Hard place to find but you'll have no shortage of would be guides offering to show you the way for a few dirham.
Mainly I like the people, I also looooved the breakfast and the tea. The only problem is that the building is a bit old, but it is really nice and the staff is great. The room could be a bit better and the area a bit less dangereous, but I have to say that I will strongly recommend this place. It is close from the city center, u can go by walk almost everywhere, quality-price is very good and the stuff is really helpful. THANKS FOR A PERFECT TIME!
The riad decoration, a true morocco experience. I stayed on the Blue room, it was very beautiful. The people, Siham, the manager, and Najid, the night guard, are fabulous! Always trying to fulfill our expectations. The confort, ar conditioner, bed and toilets very good!
The price, a bit to expensive for Marrakesh standards, provided it's not very near the center. The location, very hard to find the first and second times (and to pay 20dh to a boy to take me there). The map in the Booked.net is wrong!!! I stayed 2 more nights in Marrakesh and I prefered to change to a place close to the main square (where everything happens!!)
Lovely room. Air conditioning worked very well (what a relief!) the staff were very relaxed and friendly and we sampled a dinner which was superb (try the lemon chicken tagine here.....heaven!) the terrace was lovely and we spent quite a bit of our last day there enjoying the views in the peace and quiet, avoiding the mad rush of the souks and jamaa el fna (central square to the medina)
The riad is not easy to find and we got stung by two young lads who demanded ridiculous amounts of money after helping us find it so best to find a proper guide with a barrow and pay 60 or so dirhams (about £4-£5) to take your luggage and show the way.
- Position: very good, 10 minutes to main Medina square - Hotel: very beautiful structure (typical Marrakesh house) - Breakfast: medium level
In the night, the way from riad is not light and it is a real labyrinth. It seems dangerous for tourists. Moreover, there is not phon and few bath towel in the room
Great place, very helpful staff, location close to the Main square(cca 5-10min), Don´t hesitate ask for anything(e.g. rent a car )
no chance to find the place by yourself. Mujahedins at 5AM every day probably wake you up.
The hotel is quite, confortable (air conditioner), and the breakfast is very good. Staff was helpful and kind too. The Ryad is nice overall.
The location. Not far from the Main place, but impossible to find it on your own at first (like everything in The Medina)
